Time Bomb

From the moment we’re conceived we are dying,
Ticking time bombs of death and decay,
End in sight from the very begining
It’s a wonder that we even try.Friendships transient,
Death the only certainty,
Love Will Be Lost,
And so am I.

Moving through this slow dance of self delusion,
The end awaits from the start of the song,
You pick your partners,
Whirl them around you and in an instant they are gone.

With Each passing moment the end draws nearer,
But we never dream of this day.
Everyone thinks they will live forever,
Live for tomorrow not for today.
It’s a self life it will end soon,
Everything does,
We all decay.

So why bother?
Live in the moment,
Worry not of death and decay,
Whirl your partners and find another,
Live with the certainty that it will end this day
