A New Beginning

You promised me the world
As in your dark embrace
You took my life from me
and put darkness in its placeYour arms were my craddle
As I was born once more
Your blood to me like mothers milk
As at last I sank to the floor

My senses were alive
As I slowly died
You stood over me
and in your eyes I saw pride

You said I was forever yours
and you forever mine
the world was our feast
until the end of time

And so we rose together
in a world devoid of light
alone with each other
in the great eternal night
