A Moment in Time
As I watch you sleeping by my side
feeling stir in me I fight to hide
emotions I thought were lost of good
came back to me in the dark of your room
you face lit only by the flickering TV light
I wonder if I fell for you that night?
I stroke your skin as I watched you sleep
and by myside I wanted you to keep
I wanted the moment to go on forever
knowing that it would soon be never
and as you woke and smiled at me
I commited the moment to memory
so even if we will never be
the moment will live on in me.
